How many bicycles fit in a container?

Which questions reveal the real setup behind a supplier?
- Who owns the frame mould? A maker names the mould, the tooling owner and the model without hesitation. A reseller changes the subject.
- Whose name is on the customs export declaration? A factory exporting under someone else's licence is already a trading structure, just an undisclosed one.
- Who holds the factory audit report? Ask for the ISO 9001 or social audit certificate, the issuing body, the entity named on it and the expiry date.
- Whose name is on the EN ISO 4210, EN ISO 8098 or EN 15194 test report? The manufacturer named there should match the entity that invoices you.
- Who signs the OEM tooling and brand agreement? Whoever signs is who you can hold responsible for decals and geometry changes.
What changes when the order includes e-bikes?
E-bikes move from HS 8712.00 to HS 8711.60 and pull in a document chain ordinary bicycles do not have.
